Tristan und Isolde
Sadly, we must advise that our production of Tristan und Isolde is unable to proceed.
The uncertainty caused by Covid-19 has made it impossible to present what promised to be a highlight of our 2020 Season.
We were excited about working with the extraordinary collection of artists we gathered to bring Tristan und Isolde to Brisbane audiences. Unfortunately, the ongoing restrictions on interstate and international travel significantly impact our international cast including conductor Pietari Inkinen (Finland), soprano Meagan Miller (USA) and Heldentenor Simon O’Neill (NZ).
All Opera Queensland subscribers and ticket holders have been contacted.
It is deeply disappointing to share this news but, as ever, the health of our artists, audiences and staff is paramount. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience while we make our way through this unpredictable time.
If you have any questions please get in touch via email email@example.com or call 07 3735 3056.
Opera Queensland Studio Recital series
Restrictions will be eased from 10 July 2020 to allow indoor gatherings for a maximum of 100 people. Our recital audiences are intentionally intimate and will fall under the 100-person threshold so we are delighted to confirm new dates for our recitals with José Carbó and Jason Barry-Smith.
Our first recital – Bradley Daley – Songs of Wagner and Strauss will go ahead as scheduled 31 July and 1 August.
Jason Barry-Smith – A Life in Many Parts
Rescheduled from 19 and 20 June to 28 and 29 August 2020
José Carbó – A Musical Life… Songs that taught me how to sing
Rescheduled from 22 and 23 May to 11 and 12 September 2020
Please subscribe for email updates as we work towards a return to the stage.
As we navigate the changing nature of COVID‑19, we are continually working with industry partners, performing arts companies and producers around the world to assess our program of events and performances.
Bran Nue Dae
Unfortunately, the ongoing restrictions on mass gatherings means it is no longer possible to present the 2020 season of Bran Nue Dae.
While this is immensely disappointing for us and the artists involved, your health and well being and that of our artists, our staff and their families remains our priority.
All ticket holders will be contacted by QPAC directly and will receive a full refund. QTIX will process refunds automatically. There is no need to contact QTIX unless your details have changed. If this is the case, please email QTIX firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name and booking reference number, but do not include credit card information.
